The PowerBreaker PBO40A 40A 30mA 6kA IP20 Single Pole + Neutral Type B RCBO is a 40A current rated and 6kA short circuit rated residual current breaker with overcurrent designed to provide enhanced protection to your electrical appliances and users from overcurrent and possible shock and injury.

It works by combining the overcurrent functions of a miniature circuit breaker with the earth leakage fault functions of an RCD (residual current device).

It has an instantaneous tripping type B curve which is ideal for residential applications whereby the load is resistive, such as lighting fixtures, as the tripping curve is designed to trip at fault currents of 3 to 5 times full load current.

It has an electrical endurance operation of up to 4,000 cycles as well as, a mechanical endurance operation of up to 10,000 times.

It is single poled with a neutral switch.

With an Ingress Protection rating of IP20, it means the PowerBreaker PBO40A is touch proof and protected against dust ingress and objects over 12mm in size.

It is designed to be used with PowerBreaker consumer units.
