  • The Hager VME02SPD Consumer Unit Type 2 Surge Protection Kit has been expertly crafted for use with Hager consumer units.
  • Ensures maximum performance of SPD technology within residential single phase consumer units.
  • This is an IEC Type 2 / Class 2 SPD for single phase power supply networks.
  • This device protects equipment against electrical surges and transient over-voltages due to lightning, switching of transformers, motors, and lighting.
  • whilst working in conjunction with domestic consumer units.
  • Supplied with an integrated busbar, patented automatic earth connection to the DIN rail, and a 6mm earth cable.
  • Fits within a standard consumer unit, with line and neutral connections via a double pole copper busbar from the SPD to the supply side of the main incoming device, terminated withing the top of the device bi-connect.
  • Earth cable will be terminated within the main earth bar in the customer unit and terminate in left or right hand earth terminal located at the top of the SPD, ensuring connections are tightened to 3.5Nm.
  • Perfect for surge protection of electrical equipment such as fridges, freezers, washers, dryers, TVs, PCs and more.
  • The unit benefits from an 8/20 µs current wave and a lifetime indicator, that displays clear if healthy and red if in need of replacement.
  • The IP20 rating ensures protection against solid objects over 12.5mm in size.
