The Europa ISS165N 415V 16A 3 Pole + N + E IP44 Industrial Surface Socket is a 3 poled and earth surface socket from the Europa range with a 1mm to 2.5mm cable nominal cross sectional area which gives it a 16Amp current rating.

It is a surface-mounting socket designed to mate with appropriate panel or cable mounted plugs.

Its purpose is to provide a connection to electrical mains which have a higher voltage and current rating compared to household plugs and sockets, essentially providing a way to extend the power supply to the mains connected tools and other appliances.

This is one of the features and capabilities that make it the ideal for industrial installations such as in the agricultural and chemical industry, on construction sites, shipyards, sports complexes and other public entertainment spaces, the food industry, and airports.
