  • The Aico EI44E Heat Alarm is an easi-fit base 230V AC mains-powered heat sensor unit which responds to heat build-up from large, fast flaming fires, often caused by kitchen fires.
  • It is also more reactive to heat rather than smoke, making it resistant to fumes such as burnt toast, making it most ideal for use in the kitchen, attics, garage, and other areas susceptible to false alarms.
  • It is also made of UL 94 V0 flame retardant plastic material.
  • It features two indicators, one for the power – Green LED, and the other for the alarm of fault – Red LED, low battery indication, and a test/button test function which simulates a high temperature to check the device, horn feature, and thermistor.
  • The hush button is also effective for controlling false alarms.
  • The easi-fit tamper-proof base enables a quick and simple installation process, saving both time and money.
  • It is able to do this thanks to the built-in fast response thermistor sensor that operates at 58 degrees.
  • It is mains powered with a replaceable 9V alkaline battery back-up and can be hardwire connected or wirelessly (with RadioLink technology) interlinked with up to 12 other Aico alarms.
  • The 9V alkaline battery back-up ensures a long-lasting battery life so there is no need to change the battery for the duration of its 10-year operational life.
  • It is best used ceiling mounted at least 300mm from walls and any obstructions and most effective when placed in a central location in the room it is mounted in.
  • The AICO EI44E Heat Alarm meets BS 5446-2:2003 standards.
