Double Socket | 2 Gang Socket

A “Double Socket” or “2 Gang Socket” refers to a specific type of electrical wall outlet commonly used in the United Kingdom. This type of socket has two socket openings, allowing you to plug in and power two electrical devices at the same time. It can also be referred to as a “2-gang outlet” or “twin socket” or “plug socket double”. Our double sockets / 2 gang sockets / plug socket double are all:

  • Standard UK Design: These sockets are designed in accordance with UK electrical standards and have the typical three rectangular prong holes suitable for Type G plugs commonly used in the UK.
  • BS 1363 Compliant: They are typically compliant with the BS 1363 standard, which specifies the design and safety requirements for British 13 A plugs and sockets.
  • Grounded: All sockets are grounded, providing an earth connection for safety.
