โข No need for a washer.
Self Tapping Screws are screws that can tap/drill its own thread as it is driven into the mating material. They are a specific type of thread-cutting screw intended to produce a thread in relatively soft material or sheet materials, excluding wood screws. They are suitable for fixing clips, cleats, and saddles to metal, or securing thin metal sheets together (cable trunking, surface mounted boxes, cable tray etc).
The thread cutting screw makes a small hole while entering the material which creates a tight friction fit between the threads. The self tapping screws we stock feature a low-profile wafer head with cross recess, and a large flat area under the head which eliminates the need for a washer.
