Rawl Plugs

Benefits at a glance:

• Quick and easy way to secure cables to the wall.
• Made from HDPE material.

Rawl Plugs also known as wall drill plugs, are fibre or plastic inserts that allow a screw to be driven into porous or brittle material. They are used to ensure that screws are driven into masonry walls and provide a secure fastening. Without them, screws would not engage the masonry and would not apply sufficient compressive force to provide a secure, permanent fixing. They are lightweight general-purpose anchors that provide a self-centering, integral guide for screws and are a quick and easy way to attach cables to walls.

Rawl plugs are indispensable when hanging cabinets, mirrors, and shelves – basically for anything you want to attach to your walls, or if you want to attach something to a brick or concrete wall, plasterboard, or any other hard surface (other than wood).

It is advised to use a hammer action drill when fitting rawl plugs, and to match the wall plug to the screw, as the correct wall plug size is largely dependable on the screw gauge you use.
