Vapour proof lighting is different to waterproof lighting. It’s rated to withstand far smaller droplets than are found in rain or spray from leaky pipes. Commonly seen in external applications, steamy kitchens, or cold stores, vapour proof lighting is prized for its long lifespan and the ability to shrug off the hazards of its environment. To further reduce costs and improve lifespan choose LEDs instead of traditional bulbs. LEDs are up to 90% more energy efficient and can last more than 5x longer than normal bulbs before needing replacing.
