Relays are electrically operated switches that can enable a low-voltage circuit to operate a higher-voltage circuit. They are also used to monitor the status of electrical equipment such as motors and control a variety of electrical equipment such as heating, ventilation, lighting, alarms, and building automation applications. They do so by interrupting or completing an electrical circuit and octal socket terminals.
