Twin & Earth + 3C (6242/6243)

Benefits at a glance:

  • Easy to organise, and tangle resistant.
  • Multi-purpose domestic cabling
  • Available in a variety of diameters. Pick the size to suit your needs.

The most common type of domestic wiring used in homes today. Often abbreviated to T&E cable, you’ll find these cables used in various sizes in most internal domestic power cables. For example, 2.5mm is commonly found behind wall sockets, while 1-1.5mm is more often used for light furnishings — though circuits with lots of light sources may need a more substantial cable.

T&E cables comprise two insulated current carrying conductors and an uninsulated circuit protecting conductor. These cables are flat, making them tangle resistant, easier to organise, and allowing for easier attachment to a wall if needed. All come sheathed in either grey (PVC) or white (LSF) protective coating.
