4 core SWA cables are ideal for use in environments where smoke and fumes may present a hazard. Four core cables are perfect for low voltage or low current signal applications, for use in mains electricity. They are made of 4 copper individual colour coordinated cables hence the name. It is used to transport both low voltage and low current signals in single-phase systems. The four cores consist of three insulated copper wires that are coloured brown, blue/green, and yellow, with an uninsulated wire of the same colours serving as the protective armour.

4 core SWA cables are perfect for low voltage lighting, low current signal applications and transmission installations , for use in mains electricity, such as PIR and humidity-controlled extractor fans; and solar panels. They can be installed in several ways; including in duct, clipped directly to a surface, on tray, in basket or free air.

They have a black PVC sheathing for industrial wiring and mains distribution. The 4 core SWA is intended for use in a wide range of applications, including underground power networks, indoor and outdoor installations, as well as many more! It can also be embedded in concrete or laid direct in ground in free draining soil.
