CAT6 data cables have strict performance specifications and very high data transfer speeds at great distances. The cable conductors and sheath are very thick as well. It has a bandwidth capacity of 250 MHz and offers speeds of up to 10 Gbps. It is mostly used for computer networks reaching a GB, 1000Mbps or 1 Gbps of data transfer speed (DTR) or higher.
