CAT5 pure copper cores are a twisted pair cable used to carry signals for video/data and telephone normally used for LAN Ethernet networks. They are suitable for exterior locations and outdoor use due to the polyethylene jacket which is more robust, tough and abrasion resistant to meet the demands of higher demand environments. CAT5 is a popular choice for CCTV installations and is also used for data and voice. It can be used for permanent/semi-permanent installations in cabinets and floor wiring. They are made from annealed solid copper and has a PVC outer sheath.
